Online meeting “GETTING TO KNOW EACH OTHER (‘S SCHOOLS AND LIVES). BUSINESS IDEAS”

The event took place in three different days during three months – on the 17th February, 18th March and 28th April.


The participants of the meeting were the project group students of both schools. They worked in international teams (exchange students together). Also, the coordinators, the IT teachers, English teachers, Art teachers and a teacher of Social Studies, a teacher of extra curricular.


The original plan was followed, just included “Lockdown” as it had became a part of our lives. Students had to do extra work besides their everyday school life in the situation of distance learning.


17th February, 2021: “My Life in Lockdown“
1) Greeting from the coordinators of Vogelsbergschule Schotten and Häädemeeste Secondary School
2) Giving an outline of the session
3) Presentations about students’ experiences at the time of lockdown in Germany and Estonia.
Students showed their presentations that they had prepared together with their exchange partners.
4) Filling in the questionnaire about the lockdown to be compared the answers given by students in both schools.
5) Planning the next meeting
Methodology: For the meeting we tried to use Twinspace but failed and used GoogleMeet instead. Students had prepared the presentations on slides (PPT, GoogleSlides). The questionnaire was filled in GoogleForms. Results: Presentations “My Life in Lockdown”


18th March, 2021: “Comparison of School Events“
1) Opening – giving an outline of the session
2) How are you? (menti.com)
3) Speech of the head of Häädemeeste Secondary School
4) Introduction of schools
5) Presentations. Learning about partner schools via traditional school events.
Presentations prepared with exchange partners beforehand: comparing and contrasting of school events
6) Choosing the favourite event (WordArt)
Methodology: For the meeting we used GoogleMeet. For the beginning students gave quick feedback about their moods in Menti.com. Students had prepared the presentations on slides (PPT, GoogleSlides). Inspired by different school events in both schools, the participants voted for the favourite one, the votes were captured in WordArt.

28th April, 2021: Business ideas.
1) Opening – giving an outline of the session

Students had had brainstorming and came out with common business ideas, created a job advert.
